The digital system developed by Viaboxx for bicycle parking facilities had its innovation certified by the Certification Office Research Allowance (Bescheinigungsstelle Forschungzulage – BSFZ).
Innovation was proven through an evaluation which concluded that “there is not yet a comparable solution that can be operated on any hardware platform, with any configuration of bicycle parking systems, either online or offline”. This evaluation was based on the novelty, risk/unpredictability, and planning criteria.
Viaboxx digital bicycle parking system was conceived to contribute to technological solutions promoting more sustainable mobility in urban spaces. The user-centered software allows digital control and operation of more secure and publicly available bike parking facilities.
Latest in our innovation timeline, the project adds to previous initiatives and cooperations on Research and Development (R&D) and reinforces our innovative culture.
About BSFZ
As part of a strategy to stimulate research and development activities, especially in small and medium-sized companies, the German government provides fiscal subsidies for research in the form of Research Allowance.
Commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung), BSFZ is the body certifying whether an R&D project is eligible for funding in accordance with the provisions of the Research Allowance Act (Forschungszulagengesetz – FZulG).
